Speechless...

W: Well, if I can ever work up the courage to ask you again, I'll send you a written warning first.
M: 'O it wouldn't do you much good. I can't read.
W: Can you not?
M: No.
W: Well that's something we shall have to remedy, isn't it?
M: You're going to teach me to read, then?
W: Aye, if you'd like.
M: Aye!
W: In what language?
M: Ah, you're showing off now.
W: That's right. Are you impressed yet?
M: No. Why? Should I be?
W: Oui. Parce que chaque jour j'ai pensé à toi. [Yes. Because every single day I've thought about you]
M: [hesitates, impressed despite herself, then smiles] Do that standing on your head and I'll be impressed.
W: Well, my kilt will fly up, but I'll try.
